We can all name the big DJ brands, with the most powerful DJ controllers, with pretty colour screens and quite bulky. And at a price; but that's part of the deal. But if you're a beginner, and you just want to try something out, without having to pay the main price right away, you'd rather look at a more affordable controller. Take this Hercules DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK3! For the price of a tank or two of petrol, you can get this controller for free. And it's not a toy at all: it's a real DJ controller!
If you already know something of the DJ business, the buttons will hold few surprises. Two platters with a crossfader between them. A very nice detail is that you have buttons per 'deck' for handy voice splitters: 'vocals' and 'the rest'. It is very useful if you have a transition between two songs where the vocals come in while the music from the previous song is still playing. Anyway, the idea will be clear. Needless to say: it's a controller, so we're talking about effects in DJ software. Which software exactly? You get two with it: DJUCED and Serato DJ Lite. Of course, the controller also works with its big brothers DJUCED PRO(+) and Serato DJ Pro. But, long story short: a very interesting product. Not only a nice gift for yourself, but certainly also to give to a youthful up-and-coming DJ. Again: it is not a toy, but really a full-fledged DJ product.
