General
UDG's Urbanite MIDI Controller Sleeve Medium Black is a modern sleeve that offers protection for many different models of controllers. The interior dimensions measure 53 x 34 x 9 cm, so controllers that are this size or smaller will fit. It also comes with foam inserts so you can fully adjust the size for the perfect fit for your controller.
The materials
While designing this sleeve, UDG put plenty of thought into the materials that they used. The Urbanite MIDI Controller Sleeve's exterior is made of water-repellent 600D nylon. Meanwhile, the inside is covered with egg crate foam so that all your jog wheels, faders and buttons don't get damaged either. Finally, the Urbanite sleeve is equipped with practical handles, a comfortable shoulder strap and easy grip zippers.

Tas voelt op zich goed aan. Echter, de tas heeft 1 vak, en dat is het. Dat betekent dat:
- Met alleen de controller in de tas, er teveel ruimte in de hoogte is (dikte van de tas, zo je wilt). Dat betekent dat je dus iets onder de controller zal moeten leggen om 'm niet (teveel) te laten schudden.
- Er geen handig compartiment is voor bijv. kabels.
Het is op zich prima waar voor het geld, maar als je op zoek bent naar een tas die je geregeld gaat gebruiken om je controller mee te vervoeren, dan is het wellicht verstandiger door te sparen naar een model met meer mogelijkheden. Voor mijn incidenteel gebruik voldoet de tas echter vooralsnog prima.

Een mooie, stevige tas geschikt voor vele controllers. Door de meegeleverde schuimstukken in te delen in vele combinaties. Zelf in gebruik met een Traktor S5 controller. Met een aantal schuimstukken op de bodem kan ook de laptop en kabeltjes er nog makkelijk bij in. Wel jammer dat er geen extra ruimte is om de adapters voor de laptop en controller in op te bergen.
