Numark NS4FX 4-Channel DJ Controller

Bouwkwaliteit is goed, voelt degelijk aan. Hoge kwaliteit geluid door XLR uitgangen. De jogwheels zien er professioneel uit met ingebouwde displays en werken goed. De crossfader is enige schuif die wat tegenvalt. De 'shift' toets is een slimme manier om extra functies toegankelijk te maken.

De software (Serato DJ Lite) is aardig om mee te beginnen, maar heeft wat eigenaardigheden. Zo ging na 3 uur draaien plotseling het processorgebruik flink omhoog (Mac), na een herstart van de software niet meer gehad. Ook jammer dat je er visueel continu aan wordt herinnerd om de Pro versie te kopen. En de beatdetectie is niet zo goed als andere pakketten die ik eerder heb gebruikt - ik mis dan ook een mogelijkheid om via tappen de beats ad hoc te bepalen, dit moet je blijkbaar via het beatgrid met wat vrij langzaam reagerende knopjes handmatig instellen. De software handleiding is wat summier, maar er vallen redelijk veel antwoorden te vinden op internet.

Al met al een goed uitgebalanceerd product voor de amateur DJ die net iets meer opties wil. Je krijgt er het meeste uit als je de Pro editie van de software koopt, dus reken nog 200 euro extra voor het totaalplaatje.
