General
It's the return of a legend! Numark's NS6II DJ controller has four decks and four channels, two of which can be used for a turntable or tabletop so you can use it in standalone mode without a computer. If you want to lift the whole thing up to another level, though, there are two USB ports for connecting two computers so you and a buddy can mix together! Thanks to the integrated full-colour hi-res 2-inch displays in the middle of the platters, you've got a clear overview of things like BPM, time, pitch and key.
Eye candy
The eye-catching red details on the otherwise completely black NS6II makes it an attractive element in your DJ booth. Just like any controller, you've got all the functions you could possibly desire right at your fingertips. For starters, you've got four channels, where three and four can be used as an analogue line input thanks to the phono preamp. In Serato DJ, which comes with this controller, you've got four decks that you can switch with the push of a button on the hardware. The 3-band EQ and 6-inch jog wheels are velocity-sensitive and designed to adapt to your personal spinning style.
Clever touch pads
Each deck has eight performance pads with its own sub function (hot cue, roll, loop, sampler and slicer). Press once for the primary function and twice for the function underneath—no need for an additional shift button! For even more effects, there's an FX section at the top with three adjustable parameters that you can turn on or off. Under the bonnet, the NS6II houses an audio interface that boasts 24-bit/44.1 kHz audio and four channels that can be transmitted and received via USB. Last but not least, it features iron roll bars that protect the EQ and volume controls for the mics and headphones.
