General
At NAMM 2011, Shure launched the Shure SRH550DJ. These DJ headphones were designed to be a highly competitive entry in the budget segment. However, don't take that to mean that they're lacking in performance!
SRH550DJ: a worthy competitor
The Shure SRH550DJ headphones are fitted with 50mm drivers that allow for perfect bass reproduction. Which is great, because DJs need to be able to focus on the beat, especially in noisy environments. Furthermore, it's equipped with earpieces that fold, for easy transport and storage, and that can swivel 90 degrees, so that you'll have a perfect fit, no matter how you like to wear your headphones.
They can handle up to 3000 mW, which is quite a bit for a pair of headphones in this segment! It means that it can handle high volume levels, while still providing you with excellent sound.
Looks
The SRH550DJ features a great, sleek design, that flows naturally from the headband to the earpieces, and a beautiful black-and-grey finish. Finally, the black headband is made of a highly flexible material for optimal comfort.
