The Obsidian NX1 is a compact and portable light controller. Part of the ONYX platform, this fully-equipped controller offers smooth control and features a 10.1" multi-touch display, 10 motorised playbacks, 4 assignable encoders, while the Master Go section and playback/function hybrids ensure easy access to essential functions — ideal for dynamic live shows.

Standalone Use and Network Integration

Powered by an Intel CPU, a 250GB NVMe SSD and 8 gigs of RAM, the high-performance NX1 can process up to 8 universes and offers extensive connectivity via 4 DMX ports and a Gigabit ethernet port that supports Art-Net, sACN and ONYX X-Net protocols, making the controller versatile enough for standalone use as well as for integration into a large light network.

Expansion Potential

In addition to the above, it's worth pointing out that the Obsidian NX1 can be expanded through add-ons like the NXK keyboard and NXP motorised playback wing, which can be magnetically coupled to gain additional functionality. This modular system is compatible with other ONYX devices and PC systems, and makes the NX1 easy to customise and set up as preferred. The whole thing is housed in a compact unit, making this lighting controller perfect for professional light jockeys in need of a powerful and portable solution.
