General
The Stentor SR1470C Arcadia 3/4 double bass ranks among the very best in the Stentor range. This handmade Pro Series double bass is crafted in a specialist workshop, where craftsmanship and tradition come together. The soundboard is crafted entirely by hand from selected solid spruce on the front and beautifully flamed maple on the back. The instrument features inlaid purfling and is finished with a carefully applied shellac varnish, which not only protects the wood but also lends it a classic appearance. An ebony fingerboard, sturdy brass tuning pegs and a high-quality bridge and strings make this double bass an instrument from which the advanced string player can draw the very best.
