If you're familiar with Tama's Iron Cobra pedals, you'll notice right away that Speed Cobra pedals feel a lot lighter while playing. This, however, does not mean they're any less rugged. An extra wide frame and base plate, which has been attached in a specific way to the foot board, ensure the stability of this pedal. The foot board is extra long, making precision work even easier. An important factor in this twin pedal's finesse and speed is how the double chain runs over the Lite Sprocket, which controls the beater. Because the chain gets pulled back slightly, it enables you to play with more speed and power. Of course, this can be adjusted to suit your own personal preference. Finally, you're sure to have noticed that these beaters look a little unorthodox. These are Accu-Strike Cobra beaters, which feature a soft, rubber head that delivers a dynamic, punchy sound. To top it all off, the Tama Speed Cobra pedals come complete in their own special hard case.
