Goede borstels en het interessante is de mallet waarmee mooie ronde basklanken uit de Cajon kunnen gehaald worden, het spijtige anderzijds is dat ze redelijk prijzig zijn en dat ze niet kunnen in of uit geschoven worden voor andere speelwijzen of dat er ook geen elastiekjes bij geleverd worden, maar voor alles is wel een oplossing te vinden, gewoon een huishoudelastiekje rond de borstels als men ze meer op een fijnere top wil. Het grote pluspunt is wel de zoals reeds vermeld de mallet waarbij men de rug spaart inzake de bassen uit de Cajon te produceren.
