The 6-ply maple wood and the 30-degree bearing edges of the shells combine to produce a full-bodied, warm sound with excellent resonance. Following a tradition set by Gretsch's USA and New Classic series, the shells of this Renown Maple 2013 Blue Metal kit are decorated with stylish 2013 Renown badges. Featuring the phenomenal Gretsch sound as well as a beautiful, rugged look, this great Gretsch shell set is a treat for both ears and eyes.

The modern, die-cast hardware ensures great longevity, and includes a G1 suspension mount for the mounting of your toms, G1 ITS lugs and G1 TR wingnuts. The Gretsch Drums RN1-E8246-BM Renown Maple 2013 Blue Metal is fitted with Remo drumheads, including Remo Emperor Clear batter heads for the toms and a Remo Powerstroke 3 drumhead for the bass drum.
