General
During the development of the SQ1 series, Sonor experimented with various materials to achieve the best possible tone. The result ended up being 100% birch, which ensured the best balance of low, mid, and high frequencies. The SQ1-322 shell set consists of a virgin 22x17.5-inch bass drum, a 12x8-inch tom, and a 16x15-inch floor tom. The shells feature a matte GT Black finish.
Sound Sustainer system
All the kits in the SQ1 series are equipped with the revolutionary Sound Sustainer tom suspension system, which was inspired by technology in the automotive industry! The rubber component in this system isolates vibrations in the shell so they aren't passed on to the metal stand, resulting in a long sustain and a pure tone. This system is not only suitable for suspending a tom, but can also be used at the legs of the floor tom.
High-grade finish
The SQ1 shells feature stylish, chrome-plated hardware, and the bass drum legs are definitely the most striking. The Tunesafe system is integrated into the hardware of each drum to ensure stable tuning that won't come loose due to vibrations. For excellent resonance between shells, each have a bearing edge of 45 degrees.

The latest Sonor drum series is called the SQ1 and is available in a Fusion, Studio and Rock shell set in the colours black, blue, red, and green. It's a high-quality range with birch shells and features the new Sound Sustainer technology.
