That the name Tama Superstar sounds familiar to many drummers is not surprising. For over 40 years, Tama has managed to link this name to high-quality drum sets with a solid build and a powerful sound. The brand proves this again with the Superstar Classic series, which has a nod to the past with its T-shaped badges, but is otherwise very modern. Made of 100% maple wood for a full, powerful sound. This 5-piece configuration consists of a 20x16-inch bass drum, 10x7 and 12x8-inch toms, a 14x14-inch floortom and a 14x5-inch snare drum. The CL50RS series features a wrap, in this case with the colour Indigo Sparkle.

Superstar Classic: Maple

To make the shells, Tama uses specially selected wood, which is then glued in 8 layers for the bass drum and 6 layers for the other shells. Thanks to modern techniques, this is thinner than similar kits of the past, but just as strong and actually gives a fuller sound. On the kettles we see the special, compact Low-Mass tension blocks, with minimal surface area and the Star-Mount tom suspension. Together, this ensures optimum resonance of the wood. The shellset comes with Tama's own Power Craft II drum heads, which allow you to make good use of the Superstar Classic's wide vocal range right away.
