General

With the Imperialstar Hyper-Drive drum kit, Tama focuses on drummers who are just starting out. The shallow, compact Hyper-Drive toms are suitable for children in particular. This kit's shells are made of poplar wood which offers a warm sound and an average attack. The configuration is ideal for a pop/rock repertoire, but it's really an all-round kit that's suitable for any style of music. Whether you want to use it to prepare for your lessons, or play with your first band, it's a great investment! The best thing about the Imperialstar kit is that it's virtually complete when you buy it—all you need is a set of drum sticks! You'll receive all the necessary hardware (a set of stands like these is usually sold separately) as well as a set of Meinl cymbals.

Tama IP52BHH6-SST Imperialstar Silver Stream drum kit

Poplar wood has been used to make drum shells for years. The Imperialstar kit has eight 7.5mm-thick shells made of eight plies of poplar wood for a full, warm sound and an average attack. The shells offer optimal sound projection thanks to the rounded bearing edges, and the Silver Stream exterior contrasts nicely with the Black Nickel hardware.

Configuration

As mentioned before, this product is a complete drum kit which includes hardware and cymbals. The hardware is by Tama and offers a stable base for the MCS Meinl cymbal set which sounds clear, sparkling, and is suitable for a wide range of musical styles. The kit includes a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, 10 x 7 and 12 x 7.5-inch toms, a 16 x 14-inch floor tom, and a 14 x 5-inch snare. Combined with the Meinl MCS 14-inch hi-hat, 16-inch crash and 20-inch ride, you're good to go!

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty, the drum heads come with a manufacturing defects warranty.
