Tama's years of experience with birch has lead them to perform a successful experiment. By combining it with birch, they have created drum shells that have the properties of both wood types - the powerful temperament of the birch is enriched with the warm sound of bubinga. This four-piece shell set consists of a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, 10 x 8 and 12 x 9-inch toms and a 16 x 16-inch floor tom in an unusual Molten Brown Burst finish.

The 6mm-thick tom and floor tom shells in this set are made of three inner plies of bubinga wrapped in four outer plies of birch, while the bass drum has five plies of birch, making it 8 mm thick. Furthermore, the toms are suspended from their rims by the StarCast tom mounting system. To mount them, you can use the included MTH-1000 tom holder, which has two ball joints that allow you to mount the tom at any desired angle. Additionally, mounting your toms has never been easier, thanks to the Quick-Lock tom brackets. The floor tom legs are also quite special, as they feature air chambers that prevent the vibrations in the shell from disappearing into the ground.

Other hardware

All hardware on the shells features a durable chrome finish. You have, for instance, the claw hooks that hold the wooden bass drum hoops, and the special die-cast hoops on the toms and floor tom, which have no structural weak points, keeping the tension on the Evans drumheads consistent for a long, long time.
