The rule-breaking 5-piece Trap A400NC kit somehow manages to sound just like any full-sized acoustic shell-set. The super-shallow shells - well, the fact that there are no shells - is just the beginning of the features that set the A400NC far apart from any normal acoustic kit. The weight has been shaved so far down that all that's left are the batter heads and tension hoops of these drums, and isn't that all you need? Of course, this makes a great space-saving rehearsal kit, but it actually does surprisingly well on stage. At home, you could install a pack of mesh-heads to keep the volume down and on stage, install a set of triggers to build a bespoke electronic kit. This flexible little setup will be able to please both beginners and gigging drummers.

The Traps A400NC 5-Piece

The A400NC 5-piece comes with a 20-inch kick drum, a 10, 12, and 14-inch tom, and a 12-inch snare. The included rack is quickly and simply assembled and the cymbal arms collapse into the rack for eased mobility. A high-hat stand, snare stand, and a kick pedal all come included, so the only things you need to add is a stool, a set of cymbals, some sticks, and a little skill.
