General

The Pearl RS505C/C707 Roadshow is an affordable drum kit that lives up to the high quality standards we've come to expect from Pearl. With the Roadshow series, the famous manufacturer caters to beginner drummers. As such, this set comes with everything you'll need for a great start of your drumming career: drums, cymbals, hardware and even drum sticks. The kit features a Bronze Metallic wrap finish and chrome hardware.

Pearl RS505C/C707 Roadshow Bronze Metallic

This drum kit consists of 5 shells, with a 20 x 16-inch bass drum at the core of the setup. Besides that, you'll find 10 x 7 and 12 x 8-inch toms, a 14 x 14-inch floor tom and a 14 x 5-inch snare drum. The shells are made of 9 plies of poplar, and the bearing edges that the drumheads rest on have a 45-degree angle, giving the drums a richer sound and making them easier to tune.

Highly complete kit

The Roadshow series kits are highly complete. Each set comes with a pair of 14-inch hybrid hi-hats and a 16-inch crash/ride cymbal. With the included double-braced stands, that is the foundation for a great set of cymbals. A drum throne and a bass drum pedal are also included, as well as a drum stick bag that contains two pairs of Pearl 5A maple drum sticks. In short, this kit comes with everything you'll need to start playing your first beats and grooves.

C'est la qualité Pearl.
Même si on est ici sur une entrée de gamme, tout est bien pensé, le son est bon, et on a de belles finitions.

Ideaal instapmodel voor beginnende drummers, of mensen die noodgedwongen elektronisch drummen en het dan wat te gek vinden om iets duurs te kopen voor die paar keer dat de buren weg zijn (zo een ben ik). Behalve een compleet drumstel (met 2 toms en 14 inch snare) krijg je er een krukje bij dat verbazend stabiel is, hardware, pedalen, stokkentas en een setje Pearl sticks. Alles is stabiel en stevig, en de toms zijn makkelijk te verstellen en komen met memory locks.

Voor onder 500 euro kun je niet moeilijk doen, maar let er wel op dat de meegeleverde crash/ride (ik gebruik 'm als ride) behoorlijk flut is, kwam beschadigd binnen en door er gewoon op te spelen tik je er al met gemak een deuk in (in de bell dan toch, bij mij), maar dat mag je verwachten bij dit soort instap drumstellen. Als je het meteen goed wil doen koop je beter nog een losse crash en ride (plus een extra standaard) erbij. Over de hihat kan ik niet klagen, die doet het prima!

Tip: koop er een bassdrum port bij en wat moongelletjes of een ring set.
