The 2Box DrumIt Five Brain drum module will turn any run-of-the-mill drum session into a huge success. It uses 24-bit compression for the monitoring system, which results in outstanding audio quality. What's more, the manufacturer equipped the DrumIt Five Brain module with a comprehensive collection of authentic drum samples as well. Combine your selected sounds using a direct display, an overhead option, and ambience settings. By selecting an extra channel, you can make room for special effects.

DrumIt Five Brain drum module: adjustable drum kits

This sound module contains 100 pre-programmed drum kits that are all adjustable according to your own personal preferences. Via the USB port, you can add your own audio, and the editor for Mac and PC enables you to create your own kits from multiple samples for a very realistic-sounding end result. The software supports WAV, AIFF and REX files. With the Drum-IT, you'll get spectacular results from you digital drum kit!

Wrote the following about 2box Drumit Five Brain drum module

Zelfs jaren na de release blijft dit nog een erg goede module. 2Box zet natuurlijk de traditie voort van het legendarische ddrum en dat betekent dat je aan boord een grote hoeveel akoestisch klinkende drums zult vinden. Sluit je ogen en waan je achter een echt, akoestisch, goed versterkt drumstel. Zelf vond ik de dynamiek van deze 2Box altijd een stuk beter dan die van concurrerende modules. Er zitten voldoende in- en uitgangen (belangrijk) op, MIDI in en out, line in en (helaas) een oude USB versie. Dat betekent dat het toevoegen van nieuwe sounds nogal traag gaat. Het interne geheugen is 4Gb en dat is voldoende voor een lading stock-sounds. Die klinken overigens ook het best. Er zijn programma's om zelf klanken om te zetten naar het 2Box formaat (dnsd) maar op een 1 of andere manier vond ik de fabriekgeluiden altijd de meeste bite hebben. Nog meer nadelen? Ja, de hihat van 2box werkt niet lekker op deze module, maar dat zal meer een hardware probleem zijn. De klanken zijn immers top. Even snel schakelen tussen een rimshot en rimclick op de snare is er ook niet bij. Maar ook dat is volgens mij een kwestie van pads. Er is inmiddels een hihat converter van Zourman verkrijgbaar zodat je ook Roland hihats op de 2Box aan kunt sluiten. En online zijn attributen te vinden waarmee je een grotere flash card in de module kunt zetten. Kortom: flexibiliteit genoeg; al is de module in basisuitvoering ook nog steeds helemaal top!
