General
The Kelly Shu SHU-FZS91 Flatz has been specially designed for mounting a Shure SM91 (previously available) inside your bass drum. With this shock mount system, you literally lift your microphone off the drum or the damping material, resulting in a more direct placement close to the sound source and a more open sound. Thanks to the sturdy rubber support rings and leather mounting loops, the microphone is effectively isolated from vibrations. This prevents unwanted background noise and allows the microphone to be left securely inside the drum during transport. The FLATZ is mounted onto the existing tuning mechanism, so there’s no need for drilling or gluing. This means you can have a secure, professional mounting for your boundary mic in just a few minutes.
