Meinl's MCM-14 cymbal mutes are suitable for 14-inch hi-hats. The mutes come in two parts: the small part should be placed on top of the upper cymbal, while the other part should be placed in between the cymbals. Both parts are made of a soft material that reduces the attack and prevents sustain so that you can practise to your heart's content without disturbing others.
