These affordable Stagg drum sticks are made of lightweight maple, which is a wood type that doesn't give off too many vibrations. Because of these characteristics, it's a great wood for thicker 5B sticks, which can be played hard but still remain lightweight. The wooden oval tips produce a nice, natural sound.
