This UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt Octo Ultimate contains 76 plugins made by various developers which are used in the professional music industry to provide digital recordings with an analogue tonal character. The great thing is that you don't even have to be a pro to benefit from what the Octo Ultimate has to offer. It has no fewer than eight processors on board, leaving enough DSP power for other plugins, instruments, and more.

Universal Audio's plugins are made to emulate the sound and behaviour of classic analogue equipment as accurately as possible. The Octo offers a choice between 76 plugins that have been developed in collaboration with some of the biggest brands in the professional audio industry like Studer, SSL, Manley, Empirical Labs, Neve, Roland, Lexicon, Pultec and SPL. The Universal Audio UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt Octo Ultimate comes complete with the Analog Classics Plus plugin bundle.

Powerful DSP processors

There are two different UAD-2 Thunderbolt cards, the Quad and the Octo. The processing speed increases with the number of SHARC processors on the card itself—the Quad has 4 and the Octo has 8. Universal Audio's plugins only use the computing power of the card to relieve your system, freeing up space and processing speed for automations, tracks, other effects and virtual instruments. If you still need more DSP power, you can daisy-chain up to 6 DSP cards.
