Samson's Q7X dynamic microphone is a real workhorse. Its neodymium capsule has a frequency response that's ideal for vocals, as it allows them to cut through the mix with hardly any equalizing. You won't have to worry about feedback either, as the supercardioid pickup pattern only captures sound from directly in front of the mic. Because the Q7X can handle an enormous SPL of 145 dB, it's also suitable for amplifying loud instruments like snare drums and even guitar amps. Finally, the Q7x comes complete with a mic clip.

Wednesday 18 January 2017 by LizanneSamson have given two of their professional dynamic vocal microphones a well-earned upgrade. The Q7X and the Q8X are the successors to the Q7 and Q8, respectively. Both mics have a streamlined design and an improved capsule suspension which makes them even better at preventing handling noise form being captured. The Q8X features an audio transformer that keeps hum and noise to an absolute minimum.
