Wrote the following about Yamaha YDM707 B Dynamic Vocal Microphone

We've used this mic once in a live setting so far. It's got a great sound and compares favourably to other mics we use. The chassis is lightweight, but not in a way that detracts from the solid feel of the mic. It punches through the mix well with a top end boost and provides a clarity in a band mix as well.
The handle is designed to reduce handling noise, which is helpful, although we mainly use it on a stand with a mic clip.
There did not seem to be much bleed from the drums even though the mic was reasonably close. We got this mic to try out against the Encore Blue mic and pitch it against the Telefunken M80, which costs a fair bit more. We were happy with the results. Good mic, good price and we're happy with the purchase.
