Auto-Tune 8 (download) is the advanced version of the popular software package by Antares for correcting vocals live or in the studio. It features Flex-Tune so real-time tone corrections are almost inaudible. Select automatic mode if you're still new to pitch correction and graphic mode if you want to go in and adjust every note manually.

Auto-Tune 8: fast and accurate

The remarkably natural-sounding Auto-Tune 8 can be used for live performances as well as in the studio. In live situations, you can choose the ultra-low latency mode to ensure that any delay as a result of tone correction is virtually inaudible. In the studio, you can go back and apply correction after the take. Auto-Tune gives you the option to go back and be selective about which takes you want to adjust. You can also select the extreme setting to give your voice that fun robot-sounding characteristic.

New in version 8

As well as Flex Tune, Version 8 has various other new features including editing tools that are active in real-time so you can make changes to a repetitive audio fragment, for instance. You can also use note editing to rely on your sense of itch and adjust each individual note. The amplitude-envelope in the main edit screen can be hidden and you can turn off the envelope screen, which is handy when working on a small display. Finally, the maximum timeline resolution in Bars + Beats mode is 16 notes.
