You've no doubt heard of low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch filters, each of which are highly useful effects that allow a specific range of frequencies to pass through. Then there's the all-pass filter which, as the name suggests, gives all frequencies free passage. The Kilohearts Disperser is basically a stack of all-pass filters that are tuned to cause frequency-dependent delay in the signal, where the shape of the delay can be tweaked tuned by changing various parameters. This rather unique tool is based on just three tweakable parameters, and while we're happy to admit it's a bit hard to describe what it actually does, Disperser definitely offers more than worthwhile results, especially when it's applied to kick drums and bass guitars.
