If you're thinking about expanding your library of virtual studio effects, then ring modulation isn't necessarily the first thing you think of. To start with, this is a multi-band compressor, and by limiting the input to just the frequency, for example, you can already shape a heap of nuance. It also has a pitch-tracker - exactly what you need to prevent the effect from flip-flopping from a sweet-sounding frequency to a clashing tone-deaf frequency. Everything can also be modulated in incredible detail and to unique effect, finishing a plug-in that's able to sculpt something pretty beautiful out of something that could just as easily turn into a disaster.
