Digital reverb effects can be roughly divided into two categories: algorithmic and convolution. The first one is the most flexible, and technically includes a network of delay lines that can usually be tweaked extensively. Convolution-based reverb, on the other hand, sounds better since it's able to adapt to any existing acoustic conditions. The downside to convolution reverb is that it's hard to edit, but luckily, NUGEN change all of that with the Paragon and give you the option to virtually enlarge your room, tweak the brightness, and more.
