D'Addario XSB45105 Light Top Medium Bottom, Long Scale Coated Bass Strings 45-105 electric bass guitar string set

General

The D’Addario XSB45105 gives your 4-string long-scale bass guitar a powerful, balanced tone. This complete replacement set from the XS Nickel series contains four strings with gauges ranging from .045 to .105 inches. The Light Top/Medium Bottom gauge combination pairs a tight bass with comfortable-to-play, bright-sounding high strings. This gives you a solid foundation for your bass lines, without compromising on the definition of the high end. The roundwound nickel-plated steel winding provides a familiar playing feel, whilst the ultra-thin XS coating extends the strings’ lifespan. Are you looking for strings that combine durability with clarity and a direct response? Then this set is the perfect choice.

Revised winding and a strong steel core

With this string set for 4-string long-scale bass guitars, the innovation goes beyond just the coating. D’Addario uses a modified composition for the nickel-plated winding wire and has rebalanced the ratio between the core and the winding. This results in versatile strings with clearly defined overtones and a familiar feel under your fingers. The NY High Carbon Steel cores also offer greater breaking strength and better tuning stability than standard bass strings. D’Addario manufactures the XS bass strings at its own factory in New York. You’ll receive the set in recyclable, resealable VCI packaging, complete with a code that allows you to earn points for the Players Circle programme once you’ve registered.
