Ik was een paar maanden geleden overgestapt naar een ander merk bassnaren, hetzelfde merk als mijn versterker, omdat die nogal voordelig geprijsd waren. Wat me toen opviel, was dat die nogal lastig juist te stemmen waren, en dat ze tijdens het spelen ook af en toe niet helemaal zuiver leken te klinken. Een paar weken geleden heb ik uit nieuwsgierigheid deze Dunlop bassnaren aangeschaft en onlangs vond ik het tijd om die maar eens op mijn bas te zetten. Tot mijn verbazing bleken deze snaren veel sneller exact te stemmen en verliepen ze ook nauwelijks tijdens een optreden. Ik wist niet dat er op dat gebied zo'n verschil in bassnaren kon zitten. Dat zou voortaan best eens twijfelen kunnen worden tussen mijn vaste merk bassnaren en deze Dunlops.
