Product information

General

Epiphone's Original Bass Collection Thunderbird is an accurate reissue of a true classic. The Thunderbird bass first saw the light of day in 1963 and has been used regularly on stages ever since by bands including The Who, Lynard Skynard and Cheap Trick. Just like the original models, this one has a neck-through connection and the neck is made of mahogany and walnut. The body is made of mahogany too and equipped with two ProBucker Bass #760 pickups that deliver a robust sound. Other authentic details, including the 12-inch fretboard radius and 1960's Rounded Bass neck profile, give this Epiphone Thunderbird a familiar feel.

Epiphone Thunderbird '60s Bass Ebony Electric Bass Guitar

Epiphone Thunderbird '60s Bass Ebony Electric Bass Guitar

Fast thin neck with a gnarly full sound but not muddy.
The Balance is ok, no neck dive, just use a good wide strap.
There are some imperfections in the paint at the edges but the bass is still really beautiful,
Low action with no buzzing frets but reaching the last ones is hard.

If you like thunderbird’s, this is a great model.
