Wrote the following about Epiphone Thunderbird Bass E1 Vintage Sunburst
Ik heb afgelopen weekend een Epiphone Thunderbird IV sunburst gekocht (niet bij Baxshop maar bij Keymusic) maar ik wilde toch even hier zeggen hoe onwijs gaaf deze bas is. Het geluid wat hieruit komt is ge-wel-dig. Hij speelt ook heerlijk en ziet er supermooi uit.
Als je twijfelt, kopen! Ik durf met zekerheid te zeggen dat dit een van de beter klinkende rock bassen is in zijn prijsklasse. Ik heb heb vergeleken met modellen boven de 600 euro en vond deze oprecht beter klinken en fijner spelen.
de enige twee minpunten zijn
1) Het gitaarband ophang punt aan de bovenkant. Als de uitvoering het knopje op de zijkant van de body heeft zitten is er een neckdive, en als hij (zoals bij mij) op een van de bolts zit waarmee de neck is verbonen, dan tilt de bas iets naar voren.
2) door zijn design is het lastig om de 16e en hogere fretten te spelen. Je hand wordt geblokeerd door de body. Ik heb grote handen dus lukt het nog redelijk. Maar met kleinere handen zou dit lastig kunnen zijn.
Ik zou hem kopen als je twijfelt:) je krijgt er geen spijt van.
