General

Short-scale bass guitars are loved by bassists in different music genres. With its 30-inch scale length, this Mustang Bass from Fender's American Performer series closely matches Leo Fender's original design and then adds a little more! In addition to the classic split-coil pickup in the mid position, for instance, it also has a Jazz Bass single-coil pickup at the bridge. Both pickups come from Fender's newly-developed Yosemite series and feature flat staggered poles and a shellac coating. That means they deliver a higher output and prevent problems with feedback. Two volume controls allow you to mix the sound to perfection and the Tone potentiometer has a Greasebucket Tone circuit that gives you more control over the higher frequencies as well as keeping the lower ones in check.

American Performer Mustang Bass: playing comfort

This Mustang also offers bassists optimal playing comfort thanks to the maple neck's modern C profile with satin-gloss finish and the rosewood fretboard's 9.5-inch radius. Nineteen jumbo frets also play their part in this. Other notable features include the vintage-looking, paddle-style machine heads that actually have a modern lightweight design. If you're after a real American Mustang bass that's attractively-priced too, you've already found it!

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

Fender American Performer Mustang Bass 3-Color Sunburst RW

Fantastic bass. I already own a Mexican fender mustang bass, but this is just that extra bit nicer. Rosewood fretboard is lovely, and the electronics produce a lovely clean sound with no issues at all. Don’t let the size of split coil pickup fool you, it packs a fair punch! The tuning pegs are very nice and hold their tuning for days on end. Very nice heavy duty padded gig bag. Satin smooth finish on the neck makes for easy movement. Also, it’s the coolest looking bass ever!

Fender American Performer Mustang Bass 3-Color Sunburst RW

Fender American Performer Mustang Bass 3-Color Sunburst RW

Fender American Performer Mustang Bass 3-Color Sunburst RW
