Fender have been making electric bass guitars for decades. Both the Precision and Jazz models are popular, but what if you can't decide between the two? Fender have come up with the best of both worlds: the Precision Bass Special. It has a Precision body for a classic look and a Jazz neck for a comfortable playing feel. Jazz necks have a more narrow string nut than Precision necks, which makes it easier to ply lower notes. In terms of pickups, you've got the tried-and-trusted P pickup as well as a J pickup at the bridge, giving you a wide array of bass sounds at your fingertips.
Deluxe Active Precision Bass Special: active luxury
This bass is not only special, it's luxurious and active as well. The active aspect is down to the comprehensive integrated preamplifier, which has a 3-band EQ and an active/passive switch. It has a HiMass bridge with lots of mass, which automatically means lots of tone. It's a Fender Vintage Noiseless pickup, which means it's also very quiet but still delivers that familiar sound. Because you won't want to leave home without your Deluxe Active Precision Bass Special Olympic White PF, Fender have even included a deluxe gig bag.
