Gibson reintroduce the nonchalant cool that is the Non-Reverse Thunderbird solid-body bass. Part of the Modern Bass Collection, this ground-shaker of an instrument comes fully prepped to lay down a notoriously sweet and thick bottom-end. To ensure that full sonic foundation, both the non-reversed body and set-in neck have been hewn from mahogany, while the rounded neck profile, twenty medium jumbo frets, and the tried-and-trusted 12 inch radius of the Indian rosewood fretboard offer your left hand a tight and fluid feel.
The Non-Reverse Thunderbird: Offset Bass & Wide Ranging Sound
Gibson have mounted a Thunderbird Rhythm pickup at the middle position and a Thunderbird Lead at the bridge, so you're assured of an endlessly flexible and full-fat sonic range, all navigated via the set of dedicated tone and volume pots per pickup. Every thinkable sound profile that you've ever heard from this bass has literally been placed at your fingertips, while a familiar 3-Point Adjustable bridge, a set of more-modern Hipshot Ultralite machine heads and a Graph Tech nut back everything up with solid intonation and firmly reliable tuning. This irksome wonder of a Gibson bass comes complete with a form-fitting hardshell case.
