A beauty of a five-string, the Ibanez SR4505 Prestige bass has been crafted in Japan using the best components and an exacting eye for the details. The ash body has been given a stage-worthy burst finish, putting the natural wood grain on full display, while the real wooden pickup covers complete the elegant design. The resonant base is polished off by a five-piece maple and walnut neck and forms the perfect foundation for a set of Nordstrand Big Single pickups, which are backed up by an Ibanez Sonitech Preamp complete with a three-band EQ section that can be bypassed at will via a push/pull switch, and features a dedicated mid-frequency switch.

The Prestige Treatment

Both the neck and fretboard of the Ibanez SR4505 bass have undergone the specially developed S-Tech Wood Roasted treatment to remove excess moisture, rendering the wood less sensitive to the warping effects of fluctuating temperature and humidity levels and strengthening the overall build of this instrument. Every fret has also been smoothed and rounded off via the Prestige Fret Edge Treatment, improving both accuracy and playing comfort, while tuning stability is fully guaranteed by a gold-plated set of Gotoh machine heads and an MR5S bridge, which supports string-spacing adjustments for a custom feel.
