The wildest ideas become reality in the Ibanez Bass Workshop. Take the SRAS7 Cosmic Blue Starburst: a seven-string bass equipped with four frettable strings and three strings that are played fretless! Each section has its own pickups, amplification system, and bridge, so the vibrations of the top three strings are picked up an Aerosilk piëzo at the bridge, while the bottom four strings are captured by two J-style single coils. At the same time, the 3-piece top is made of two different woods, poplar and ash, and the same goes for the fretboard where rosewood was used for the fret-lined stretch, and bubinga makes up the fretless part.
