Taking a Fender classic and giving it a contemporary twist, this J-bass comes dipped in a metallic paint-job, polished off with a matte-black headstock and mounted with black-chrome-plated hardware. Plug it in, and the satisfyingly brutal, punchy foundation sound of the ceramic humbuckers at bridge and in the middle positions are given full presence and consistent balanced by the integrated 9V active preamp. Tweak the results to taste via a set of volume, tone and blend pots as well as an ever-useful bass/treble boost control to carve out an array of tonal profiles.
