General

The Rascal Bass HH is yet another affordable addition to Squier's Paranormal Series. This short-scale bass has various Fender genes and features a lightweight, Bass VI -style poplar body that has been bound to a C-profile maple neck that not only feels snug from the start, but offers the supple playability of a 9.5-inch-radiussed laurel fretboard furnished with twenty-one narrow tall frets and offset dots.

The Paranormal Rascal Bass HH: Not As Tricky As You Think

Decked out with a Fender Coronado-style headstock and a Mustang-style string-through-body bridge, this somewhat-familiar-looking Squier bass has been given a 30-inch scale length, making it a solid pick for short-limbed bassists. The crowning touch however is the HH pickup load-out, which pairs two Fender Designed Wide-Range Bass Humbucking pickups for access to a heady stack of flexible sounds that can be effortlessly tweaked to taste with the single tone and volume pots.

The bass is arsome everything I hoped it was after reviews, but packaging was awful by Bax, it was loose inside a box inside another box, 6 air pockets inside all had burst, had to have it professionally checked over as was concerned the electrical were damaged! Very concerning and adds to more cost! The bass from Squier is as good as reviewed say, packing and postage by Bax has a lot to be desired. Just glad it wasn’t a top end bass but that’s probably why they didn’t care about packaging.

Wat een fantastische bas is dit. Ik was eigenlijk al overtuigd door de vele lovende reviews, en ze hadden helemaal gelijk. De levering ging jammergenoeg niet perfect, zowel niet aan de kant van Bax als aan de kan van DHL, maar na een week was hij dan toch geleverd.
Direct uit doos al goed speelbaar maar heb toch even de action nagekeken en lager gezet. Dat maakt hem helemaal fijn. Er zit een klein ringeltje bij sommige noten op de E snaar. Zou kunnen dat ik nog wat gedetailleerder af moet stellen, maar verder is het inpluggen en spelen.
De afwerking is fenomenaal trouwens! En een kop meegekleurd in de body maakt het af! In het echt vind ik het groen iets meer naar het blauwe neigen. Vind ik overigens erg mooi hoor, maar zo knalgroen als op de foto is hij niet.

Ik was niet op zoek naar een bas maar kwam deze per ongeluk tegen op YouTube , waar men er erg enthousiast over was en het concept sprak mij zeer aan.
Het leveren ging niet helemaal vlekkeloos ten gevolge van de feestdagen, maar de bas in in goede staat aangekomen. Stemmen en spelen, wat een geweldig instrument voldoet ruim aan de verwachting.

Na jaren geen bas meer te hebben aangeraakt verliefd geworden op deze Rascal. Bestelling ging vlekkeloos en hij kwam keurig binnen.

Even kort afstellen en gelijk spelen, want een geweldige bas. Stelt absoluut niet teleur, super afgewerkt en gewoon leuk om op te spelen.
