Ik heb deze bas 10 maanden geleden gekocht en ik ben nog steeds tevreden.
Je hebt een potentiometer waarmee je de verhouding van het volume per pickup kan regelen; hierdoor heb je meer opties om je toon aan te passen. Je hebt een 5-way switch met 5 preamp opties:

1. Solo
2. Fingerstyle
3. Flat
4. Pick
5. Slap

DIt zorgt ervoor dat deze bas een ontelbare hoeveelheid opties heeft om de toon aan te passen.
Je hebt ook twee opties om de treble en de bass aan te passen, zodat je niet continu met je amp staat te rotzooien.

Yamaha heeft eigenlijk altijd goede bouwkwaliteit: Alles is netjes afgewerkt én hij kwam afgesteld uit de doos. Ik heb geen last van fretbuzz en en de brug en kam zijn ook muisstil.

Het enige vervelende is, is dat mijn eerste versie van die bas het 2 dagen niet deed op de versterker. Dit heb ik laten weten aan bax en ik kon gewoon een nieuwe komen ophalen. Uiteindelijk deed de bas het gewoon, maar ik kreeg alsnog een nieuwe. Goeie service van Bax dus!
