From the moment Tony Butler picked up the Vintage V4, he was sold. Now, the famed British bassist has his own signature model: the Vintage V4MTB. This affordable P-style bass is based on vintage models from the fifties and has a double cutaway, a slim maple neck and a split-coil pickup. Loaded with dependable hardware from Wilkinson, the V4MTB is perfect for ambitious beginners.
The Vintage V4MTB
The black high-gloss finish conceals a lightweight poplar body that injects brightness into the deep, punchy lows of the Wilkinson PB pickup, while the one-piece maple neck helps tighten up the overall sound. The 34" scale length lends itself to slap-bass and other styles, with the open-gear tuners and adjustable brass saddles ensuring more than solid tuning stability.
