With the Squier Affinity Strat HSS starter package you can start creating your own fat guitar sounds. This affordable guitar set contains a Squier Stratocaster electric guitar, equipped with a humbucker pickup. This 'Fat Strat' in brown sunburst is accompanied by a compact Fender Frontman 15G guitar amplifier combo. Important accessories, such as a guitar cable, a guitar strap, a tuner, guitar picks and a gig bag, are also included. The included instruction DVD teaches you all the essential techniques and chords and shows you how to tune your guitar.

Fat sounds of the Squier Affinity Strat HSS

HSS refers to the pickup configuration of one humbucker and two single-coil pickups. The single-coils of the Squier Affinity Strat HSS provide the familiar sparkling Fender sound. The humbucker near the bridge is more suited for heavier playing styles and supplies more output and a warner, fatter tone. Due to this pickup combination the guitar is fit for a wide range of music genres and playing styles. The body of this stratocaster is made of solid Agathis wood for an extra full sound. Its comfortably slender neck is fitted with 21 medium jumbo frets and a large '70s-style headstock.

Fender Frontman 15G guitar amplifier

This compact 15-watt combo features two channels: Normal and Drive. In combination with the gain, volume, bass, mid and treble controls you can create a plethora of different sounds, from sparkling Fender cleans, via bluesy crunch, to high-gain metal distortion. Despite its moderate 8-inch speaker, this closed-back guitar amplifier delivers a full, deep sound with a proper punch. For quiet practice sessions, the amp is fitted with a headphone connection plus an AUX input for your MP3 player, iPod, etc.
