Need a set of strings that support chunky rhythms as well as smooth note bends? Try the Ernie Ball Coated Slinky electric guitar strings. This pack mashes together the best of both worlds, combining the treble strings of a set of .009s with the bass strings of a set of .010s. The bass strings in this set feature titanium winding protected by a thin enamel coating, while the unwound strings are protected by an anti-corrosion coating, ensuring a seriously extended lifespan. Even the ball-ends have been reinforced with titanium winding to prevent slipping and guarantee stable tuning. This pack includes gauges .009 to .046.

Geweldige snaren, heb ze nu al een paar keer besteld en ze stellen me nooit teleur. De snaren gaan lang mee, mede door de coat die er op zit. Als je vaak last hebt van klamme / zweterige handen zijn deze coated strings wel handig want deze slijten minder snel.

Deze snaren zijn ook perfect om te soleren, je glijdt als het ware over de hals van je gitaar heen. Daarnaast kun je deze ook goed gebruiken voor als je wat zwaardere muziek speelt met bijvoorbeeld drop D tuning. Nog steeds klinkt het geluid vol en mooi.

Personnellement, à cause d'une transpiration plutôt acide, les cordes se bouffent rapidement . Que j'essuie ou non les cordes après avoir joué.
Mais avec les Coated, aucun soucis, même sans cette petite manip'. Alors j'en suis pleinement satisfait.

D'autant que le son garde sa brillance assez longtemps.

Le son Ernie Ball avec une bonne résistance à l'oxydation, que demander de plus ?
Ok le tarif est un peu élevé, mais globalement dans la normale pour ce type de produit. (d'ailleurs Bax propose un super tarif)

Eigenlijk nooit een review geschreven, maar ik voelde me genoodzaakt!
Na zo'n 15 jaar trouw aan D''addario XL 009 wilde ik eens wat zwaarder geluid en besloot deze set te proberen, aangezien wij vrij stevige rock spelen en steeds meer in drop Db stemming.

Gisteren voor het eerst gerepeteerd en was echt zwaar enthousiast. Niet alleen een heerlijk zware sound, maar super helder en de snaren voelen als boter tijdens soleren en het glijd allemaal net iets soepeler.
Mijn geluiden komen veel meer tot zijn recht en ook ontstemde mijn snaren zo goed als niet. Je powerchords in een drop Db stemming klinken vele malen stabieler dan met een regulier 09 setje.

Kortom, een echte aanrader wat mij betreft!!

Ik heb ze getest met een Gibson SG en ik speel qua sounds via een POD XT live.
Denk niet dat ik snel terugval naar mijn oude snaren keuze.

Uiteraard kan ik over de beloofde langere levensduur nog niet oordelen.
