General

Many of the top artists from around the world have had a Danelectro guitar in their hands at one time or another. It's famous bell-like tone can be heard on countless recordings including ones by Jimmy Page, John Frusciante and Mark Knopfler. Whether you're aware of it or not, you will have heard the sound of the lipstick pickups found on a solid-body Danelectro. Recently, Danelectro came across a number of lipstick pickups from 1999 and decided to use them on the Danelectro DC59 M NOS reissue.

Danelectro DC59 M NOS Back to Black

The Danelectro DC59 M NOS Back to Black has two lipstick pickups fitted to its black shorthorn body. This model has a maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard and a scale length of 25 inches. Two stacked controls, one for volume and one for tone, allow you to customise the sound. To meet today's requirements, this guitar is equipped with an adjustable wraparound bridge.

The lo-fi twang of old Danos

No other new guitar gets nearer to the original Danelectro sound than this model. As such, you can expect to hear the famous bell-like, crystal-clear, sparkling lo-fi twang sound coming from your instrument. The production of these guitars actually stopped just after the turn of the century, but thankfully Danelectro has started making these masonite models again. The sound lives on!

Fantastische gitaar voor een goede prijs. Je hebt Gibson, Fender en... Danelectro, eigenzinnig geluid, maar ik ben er weg van. De NOS+ elementen zijn inderdaad heftiger nog dan de '56 versies. En in tegenstelling tot de diverse prijsklassen Fenders TL en ST en Gibson SG en LP gewoon 1 Dano 59 type.

Ben al jaren een Danelectro-liefhebber,van pedaaltjes tot gitaren.Deze heruitgave mocht dus niet ontbreken in mijn verzameling.Mooie glanslak op gitaar.Van de klank moet je houden,weliswaar niet zo allround als pakweg een Fender.Snaren wisselen is wat vreemd omwille van de speciale brug.Toch ben ik alweer blij met deze aankoop.Levering was alweer dik in orde.
