Epiphone's Goth ‘58 Explorer in Pitch Black is a modern twist on a classic model. When it was introduced in 1958, this asymmetrical guitar was light years ahead of its time. What's more, it was such a radical design, there were only 100 manufactured! The original from the late 50's is now priceless, but fortunately for Explorer fans, Epiphone offers this affordable re-issue!

Gothic Explorer: authentic feel

The Epiphone Gothic Explorer is built up around a mahogany body and neck. This, in combination with two passive Alnico Classic humbucking pickups, delivers a rich sound that is perfect for heavier genres like rock and metal. It offers high playing comfort thanks to the neck's comfortable Slim Taper D profile. It has a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and machine heads with a 14:1 ratio for ultimate tuning stability.
