Expanding his signature Gibson and Epiphone collection, Alex Lifeson drops the Epiphone Artist Collection Alex Lifeson Les Paul Custom Axcess solid body, complete with a form-fitting hardshell case. Just like every model stamped with Lifeson's seal of approval, this Les Paul features a high-performance Floyd Rose R4 locking nut, the resonant foundation of a set-in neck and the comfy playability of an Axcess Contour Heel that couples with a custom Lifeson neck profile to grant smooth reach, all the way up to the twenty-second fret. To complete the mega-reliable double locking system, this model also comes loaded with a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo bridge.

At first glance, the two volume pot, two tone pot and three-way switch layout looks pretty standard but as soon as you pop out the push/pull volume pots, the Ceramic Pro humbucker at the neck and the ProBucker 3 humbucker at the bridge are both coil-split to unleash single-coil sound. And, when you pop out the push-pull neck tone pot, the pickups are shifted out of phase to shape a more pointed and immediate output.
