General

Adorned with a pair of hot-and-fresh Fishman Fluence pickups, the Ephiphone SG Prophecy is a heavy-duty dream-weaver complete with iconic and brutal double-cut horns. Made available at a more than generous price considering what you're getting, the Proprietry edition of these future-focussed, progressive active humbuckers give you power over three custom voicings with just one guitar. Simply push both pots down to support ground-shaking riffs and screaming solos. For those moments that demand a more classic double-coil sound, pop out the tone pot and that's precisely what you get. Pop out the volume pot, and the SG Prophecy is reined in by vintage Californian single-coil sound, with none of the vintage hum.

The SG Prophecy: Fresh Looks, Butter-Smooth Playability & Stable Tuning

The entire look and feel of this Ephiphone solid-body has also been brought bang-up-to-date. The sheen of the finish in itself is actually unusual for an SG model, and the abalone triangles slotted into the pearloid position blocks are a refined twist. Meanwhile, the Slim Taper neck complete with asymmetrical shaping and rounded heel feels fast and sits snug in the fret hand, no matter where you are along the fretboard. Stable tuning is provided by a GraphTech NuBone nut, a LockTone bridge-tailpiece combo, and a set of Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners that also serve to ensure accurate tuning and quick string changes.

The chocolate sprinkles on top come in the uncompromising form of the Extura: An elegant and modern Frankenstein's monster that blends all the best bits of the Explorer and Futura.
