General
The Die DR-II-7 is a powerful 7-string electric guitar for guitarists seeking a tight response and a solid foundation for modern metal. The alder body with flamed maple veneer is combined with a three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. With an extra-long scale length of 686 millimetres, the low strings remain tight and controlled, even at lower tunings. The bolt-on neck joint and 22 frets ensure a direct playing experience, whilst the transparent dark red finish gives the wood a striking appearance.
The DR-II-7: built for low tunings
The guitar features a Seymour Duncan SH-1n-7 humbucker in the neck position and an SH-6b-7 at the bridge, delivering a powerful, well-defined tone. The TonePros TP7 & T7Z bridge, together with the GOTOH SG360-07 tuning machines, provides a stable foundation for the seven strings. Thanks to the master volume control and mini-toggle switch for pickup selection, control remains simple and direct. This makes the Die DR-II-7 ideal for modern metal, rock and other playing styles where a tight low end and powerful attack are key.
