The stylish black LTD EC-50 BLKS is an excellent entry-level instrument for those who like to turn to the heavier types of music. Rock, hard rock and metal, for instance. However, this comfortable guitar is also excellently suited for playing the blues. Its two humbucker pickups primarily ensure a warm sound, but their high output is an excellent base for some proper distortion.
A very complete EC50 BLKS
There are more aspects about the LTD EC50 BLKS that make it fit for intenser types of music. Its 24 extra large frets, for instance, allow for effortless string bends and the beautifully horned cutaway is great for playing solos high up the neck. Additionally the EC-50 BLKS features a pleasant, mild-gloss black finish and a Tune-O-Matic bridge for accurate intonation.

Deze gitaar wordt een beginners gitaar genoemd. Enige jaren geleden had ik een beginners gitaar van een ander, populair merk aangeschaft in dezelfde prijscategorie maar deze gitaar is stukken beter!
De afwerking is netjes en de balans van de gitaar is erg prettig. De hals ligt lekker in de hand en de frets voelen goed aan. Sterk punt van deze gitaart is de erg ver doorlopende hals die tot de hoogste fret ook nog eens fatsoenlijk bespeelbaar is. Geen van mijn andere gitaren krijgt dit voor elkaar.
Na enige tijd gespeeld te hebben is duidelijk dat ook deze gitaar zijn eigen karakter sound heeft. Ik heb verder geen ervaring met het merk ESP dus ik heb geen vergelijkingsmateriaal maar ik zou het geluid willen omschrijven als solide en een tikje donker. Erg goed passend bij Rock muziek.
Als ik deze gitaar enige jaren geleden als beginners gitaar had gehad dan had ik hem niet zo snel verkocht als dat andere merk :)
