General

Much like the other solid-body guitars with a TE-body in the 400 Series, this model offers a contemporary alternative for more traditional versions. This is clear in the first place thanks to the TE-417's extra string. The low B increases the range by five half-notes, allowing you to play sturdy low riffs. The stylish matte black finish and matching hardware render this guitar perfect for metal and rock music.

TE-417: EMG 707 and 81-7

The mahogany body is responsible for the rich yet clearly-defined sound the TE-417 delivers, picked up by two active humbuckers. The EMG 81-7 and EMG 707 guarantee a tight sound in which the 707 ensures the low B is just as defined as the other six strings. Furthermore, ESP has opted for sealed self-lubricating machine heads and 24 extra jumbo frets for solid tuning stability and effortless string bending and the thin, U-profile neck lends itself well for quick and slick riffs and imposing solos.
