General
This EVH may have subtly rounded shapes, but the colour immediately catches the eye! This EVH Wolfgang Special is therefore finished in so-called Striped Red, Black and White, familiar from Eddie van Halen's guitars of the past. The two humbuckers screwed directly into the body give a solid sound with enough output and definition. The warm basic sound of body made of lime wood is given a bright edge by the maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The playing experience is tight in the low end and smooth at the higher fret thanks to the compound radius of 12 to 16 inches.
Wolfgang Special: a true Van Halen
The Floyd Rose and matching D-Tuna provide the ultimate Eddie van Halen experience. With the Floyd Rose tremolo, you can perform the extreme diving flights of Eruption. In no time, the D-tuna then makes sure you're ready to play a Van Halen classic like Unchained, or other songs tuned in drop D. Should you not play Van Halen songs, this guitar also lends itself more than perfectly to other (whether or not) solid genres.
